Outlook 6 Express - Adding an email account

Requirements
You will need the following information.

1. First, launch Outlook Express. From the "Tools" menu select Click on "Accounts".

2. Be sure the "Mail" tab is forward and then click on "Add" and then on "Mail".

3. Type your name in the text field.

4. Type in your email address in the text field.



5. Type mail.yourdomainname.com in the first text field.
Type type the outgoing (SMTP) server provided by your Internet Service Provider (i.e., smtp.west.cox.net for Cox Communications customers). If you do not know your ISP's outgoing mail server, contact their customer service to request this information.

Be sure to replace the words "yourdomainname.com" with your actual domain name.

For instance, if your email address is janedoe@yahoo.com, "yahoo.com" is your domain name.



6. Type in your username in the first field. This is your full email address.
For Example:  johndoe@mydomain.com



7. Click the Finish button.



8. Click the Close button. You are now ready to send mail!
