Mail For Mac OS X - Adding an email account
Requirements
You will need the following information.
- Mail 1.2.5 (v552)
- Your login ID (user name) ex: (joeuser@mydomainname.com)
- Your password
1. Double-click the Mail icon. (Located in the Dock)

From the Mail menu, choose Preferences.

2. Click the Add Account button.

3. Click the arrow box on the Account Type pop-up list and choose POP Account.
In the Description field, type your email address.
In the Email Address field, type your email address.
In the Full Name field, type your name.
In the Host name field, type the incoming mail (POP) server for your domain (i.e., mail.yourdomain.com).
In the Username field, type your username.
In the Password field, type your password.
In the SMTP Host field, type the outgoing (SMTP) server provided by your Internet Service Provider (i.e., smtp.west.cox.net for Cox Communications customers). If you do not know your ISP's outgoing mail server, contact their customer service to request this information.

4. Click on the Advanced tab. Check all three boxes. click OK and you are finished.
