If you just recently set up a blog to help promote your business online, you may be faced with the all too common scenario of not knowing where to begin. We’ve all been there. The pressure of not knowing what to write, combined with the tone you want to create, can stop a budding blogger dead in their tracks. But before you give up, remember that you’re not writing a Pulitzer prize winning novel. In two weeks you’ll have moved beyond that first blog post, all the while making adjustments that improve your style. All you have to do is get through your first one. Ready to start?
Let’s Write Your First Blog Post!
First we need to establish what you’re going to write about. Start brainstorming about:
- What kind(s) of information and tips would you like to provide on your blog?
- What type(s) of information and tips do you think that your customers are looking for?
For example, if your website sells personalized dog sweaters, you can logically assume that:
- You will be sharing information on your blog about the necessity, types, and buying tips of and for personalized dog sweaters.
- Your customers and website visitors will be searching for this type of information, particularly when it comes to choosing the correct size and type for their particular dog.
Based on these two factors, your first blog post could be along the lines of “Ten Tips For Purchasing The Best Personalized Dog Sweater Online” or “Choosing The Right Type Of Personalized Dog Sweater For Your Pet.”
Remember, visitors to your blog will be looking for answers to their search engine queries, so regardless of the type of the business that you have, always approach your blog posts from the point of view of your visitors and potential customers.
When faced with blogger’s block, ask yourself this question: if you were looking for the product that you sell or the service that you provide, what would you want to know about it?
If you still need some additional help, we can write posts for you. Our professional blog writing service can give you quality blogs complete with keywords and catchy headlines. No matter if you use us or do it yourself, the important thing is to get blogging!
