This Website is Closed for the Holiday

As we all prepare for our long holiday I’m wondering who has a website that will also be closed? If I ask for a show of hands no one will raise them. They will all think that their website is up and therefore is working. “Up” and “working” are two very different things. Most websites only “work” when there is someone on the other side to manage orders and answer emails.

If you really want to take a break for a long weekend or enjoy a relaxing vacation, make sure you have a few things in place so your online business keeps working hard while you get some much needed rest.

1. Email Autoresponders

Put these in place to handle your personal emails and let people know when you’ll get back to them. Also, add them to forms so that if someone wants more information you can direct them to the right pages on your site or help forum.

2. Drop Shipping

If you’re still storing boxes of inventory in your garage, it’s time to stop. When you sign up with a drop shipper they manage the orders and the shipping so you don’t have to.

3. Blog Copywriting

Hire a copywriter to write a few extra blog posts that you can schedule for posting each day you’re gone.

It’s a short list, but it can ensure that your business keeps chugging along! If you need help implementing any automation for your website contact us. We’re glad to help. Enjoy the holiday!
