How Your Website Can Save You Money

Everyone knows that a properly designed and optimized website can make money for your business, but what you may not have considered is how your website can save your business money as well.

Ask your employees to describe the daily tasks that take the most time for them to complete. For example, does your business receive a lot of daily calls from potential customers asking where you are located, or what your hours of operation are?  Your website’s Contact page should make that information easily accessible, and include a link to a mapping site so they can quickly get directions from wherever they are located.

Think about all of the different products or services that you offer. Are they detailed on your website? If not, your employees may be spending a lot of unnecessary time each day answering phone calls and emails with simple questions.  And if you get specific questions over and over again, those should be answered on your site in an FAQ.

Are there forms that your customers are required to fill out that you can make available as PDFs online?  For example, many doctor and dentist’s offices now make patient history and insurance forms available on their websites for patients to download, print, fill out, and bring with them to their appointments.

Of course, sometimes you want to receive calls and emails, particularly when it comes to personalized price quotes and special project requests.  But how are your employees going to be able to make time for these important calls when they’re tied up answering routine questions and giving out general information?

Not only will providing as much information as possible on your site save you money by conserving employee resources and time, it will also make your website and your business appear to be authoritative and trustworthy.  That fact alone is worth the extra time that it takes to upload a few PDF forms and add additional information to any website.

If you’re not sure how your site can be used to save you money and better serve your customers, contact us and we’ll help you make your website into a workhorse that will save you time and money.

Sorry for being off topic, but I am just starting my website/blog. Why did you choose WordPress over blogger or any other blog program? I am trying to figure out the best way, since I am not a techy.

Hi Nicky, Because of its popularity, WordPress has a very active community of programmers. This help WordPress keep updated, and new plugins and applications are constantly being developed and improved upon. By using WordPress essentially you are future-proofing your blog and ensuring that it will work for a long time to come.
