When creating a search engine friendly content page for your website, it is important to do the following:
- Use the proper keywords
- Meet the desired word count, usually 200-400 words is considered ideal
- Use the right keyword density
- Convey information in a way that is easy for the average person to understand
With so many things to keep in mind when writing a web content page, it is easy to see how one of the most important components, the page title, can be overlooked.
Page titles appear at the very top of your browser window, typically next to the browser’s logo.
Why are titles important? Web page titles are a great place to use keywords. This is because Google gives special consideration to titles when determining what a page is about and where it should rank in search results.
For example, if you were writing a page about spa services that you offer, you would not want to simply call your page “Services Offered” if the main keyword you are trying to rank for is “San Diego spa.” Calling your page “San Diego Spa Services” is a much better choice.
Picking the right title is also a great way to organize your site. If you have a lot of informative pages, for example, site visitors can scroll through a menu of topics, which will both maximize their site visit and encourage repeat visits.
Remember, you can’t judge a book by its cover, but when it comes to web pages, the right title goes a long way. This one detail can make a huge impact on your web site’s ability to be found by the search engines. Hi Vegas,
Good luck!
As with any website you’ll want to be sure to appeal to the buyer in all three stages of the buying cycle and make sure your headlines are captivating. Offering a sample chapter before the person purchases is a great way to increase your sales. If you can deliver the chapter via email you’ll have an additional opportunity to follow up on the sale. Careful you don’t ask fro too much information up front before delivering the samples. Here’s some articles that you might find useful:

Optimizing Your Website Forms for Conversions
Post a link back when you’re site is done. I’d love to take a look.
